Facilities
in Marloth Park
There
are two retail areas in the park, only 1.5km from your
accommodation. They include mini-supermarkets, laundrettes,
off-licence,
petrol, curios, swimming pool, bar and restaurants.
Dotted
throughout the park are lodges, which provide bars, restaurants
and guided safari trips into Kruger
National Park and other points of interest in the area.
Slowezi
is also only 1km away from the lookout areas, which overlook
the Crocodile River, which is a beautiful spot for a sundowner.
You can see on to the far banks of the river, which belongs
to Kruger.
Further
afield
For
the more adventurous, here is a taste of what
you can do during your stay:
- Safaris
- you can spend a day (or more) driving yourself through Kruger
National Park animal watching, or sign up on an organised
safari run by the lodges in the park.
- Golfing
- the world famous Leopard
Rock Golf Resort is a short drive away, and other high
class courses are located within 20 minutes drive at Komatipoort
and Malelane.
- Walking & rambling
- the 'wild frontier' is the name given to the
hills surrounding the old mining town of Barberton,
which has been identified as hosting some of the best walks
in South Africa. This area also hosts mountain biking,
horse riding, quad biking, para gliding, and 4x4 off roading.
